As part of our goal for minimizing our carbon footprint and giving back in some small way, we have created the Xo-Love Project. The Xo-Love Project is a humanitarian effort that takes some of our outstanding associates into a world they might not have experienced otherwise.
In November of 2008, many Xocai associates journeyed into the Mexican jungle, approximately 2 1/2 hours from Cancun, to visit a village of around 65 people. On the first day they took painting supplies, laid blankets on the dirt floor and painted with the children of the village. All these beautiful paintings were put up for auction at the Xoçai™ “Learn to Earn” event in Las Vegas on January 2nd – 5th, 2009 to raise money for the village.
The next day, donations from some generous supporters were distributed to the village which included shoes, clothes, personal hygiene items, blankets, toys, and more! Each family also received an extensive meal package.
On the last day the village threw a wonderful fiesta and the women of the village cooked for us all. Children demonstrated their climbing ability by making their way down a 30 ft drop off from a tree into an underground body of water which they regularly swim in. While they scaled the slope like little monkeys, one right after another, our associates brought a rope in case they couldn’t make their way up again!
The Xo-Love Project is fun, exciting, heart-warming and life-changing. We are proud to sponsor and be a part of this wonderful project.
