I enjoy buying and selling stock in companies.
After working for a publicly held company for 18 years, I am acutely aware of what it takes to be a publicly held company and the daunting challenge to consistently make a company attractive to investors. In the vernacular of the stock exchange world, few words are sweeter than the words “it’s a buy!”
When analyzing stock, and the thousand theories on which way is best, there are a number of factors to consider. You look at the Price to Earnings ratio over the last quarter and the last 12 months. You evaluate shares outstanding, institutional sponsorship, and don’t forget the all important chart analysis!
Beyond that, there are a two metrics that are paramount. Factors so important that if they do not exist, I won’t buy, regardless of the other great ratios.
First is the leadership of the company. Even if you have a groundbreaking product and all the capital in the world, it
means nothing without leadership. I am so grateful to be working with the strong leaders we have in the office and in the field here at MXI. As someone who spends the majority of my time on the phone with various MXI leaders around the globe, I can assure you that they are impressively smart and are driving this company to succeed! We are all in very good hands. A great example is the recent Fast Track Rank Advancement Bonus. Our leader, Andrew Brooks, developed this plan to take this business to the next level. When he developed it, he spoke with the upper leadership of this company, and they gave their opinions and support behind this new bonus. Andrew then turned the plan over to our leaders in the field, and their response was unbelievable, bringing up the number of executives from 67 to 81 in one week. A week over week increase of 21%! The following week our leaders advocating this program increased the number of executives from 81 in week 32 to 152 in week 33, which increased the executives an overall 121%!It is an axiom in business and it certainly applies at MXI—leadership is everything.
The second criteria that must exist in a potential investment is what I call the “new” factor. In order to see the explosive growth all investors yearn for, there must be something new to drive the stock price up. Good analyst spend countless hours looking for that one thing that will take the company to the next level. If you can buy into the company before the wave of excitement hits, you can become very rich!As you are all aware, we are on the verge of launching, what I am sure will be a highly successful, antioxidant energy drink. This is not only a “new” product that will increase the product base of all our distributors, but even more importantly will tap into a “new” demographic and a $10 billion a year industry!
MXI is a privately held family owned company that has no interest in turning public. There balance sheet is strong, they have zero debt and love the business and industry they are in. Nevertheless, every fiber in my being is absolutely convinced that any Analyst who knows anything about business, leadership or the potential of a young growing company, would list MXI a very strong “BUY”!
